Terms of Service

Welcome to Owl Gossip, operated by Jeremy Osgood, a sole proprietor (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of owlgossip.com (the “Site”) and your purchase of our subscriptions and products. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. What We Offer
Owl Gossip is a physical mail service. Nothing we sell is digital or emailed. Our offerings include:
Subscriptions (two tiers):
- Collectible Postcard tier: a collectible wildlife postcard mailed on our regular schedule
- Field Dispatch tier: the collectible postcard plus a double-sided field dispatch letter with education and facts about the wildlife and the story of the encounter
Subscription billing options: monthly auto-renewing, or annual prepay. Gift subscriptions are available for both tiers.
One-time purchases: 3-month and 6-month prepaid postcard series (no auto-renewal), individual postcards, and 8×10 fine art prints (matted to 11×14).
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to purchase. Our mailings are appropriate for children and adults, but the purchasing customer must be an adult who manages the account and any recipient information.
3. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal, and Cancellation
- Monthly subscriptions renew and bill automatically each billing cycle until canceled. Annual subscriptions renew and bill automatically each year until canceled.
- You may cancel at any time through your customer account or by emailing jeremy@owlgossip.com. Cancellation stops all future billing.
- Because each issue is physically printed and mailed via USPS, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your next scheduled mail date. If you cancel within 24 hours of a scheduled mail date, that issue will still be mailed and is not refundable. Your cancellation will take effect for the following issue.
- Prepaid but unmailed issues on an annual or prepaid plan are refundable on request. See our Returns and Refunds Policy.
4. Pricing, Payment, and Taxes
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change at any time; changes will not affect a billing period you have already paid for. Payments are processed by SureCart and its payment processors. Applicable sales tax is calculated and added at checkout. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees until you cancel.
5. Shipping
We ship to the United States and Canada only via USPS. See our Shipping Policy for schedules, delivery estimates, and what to do about lost or damaged mail. Canadian recipients are responsible for any applicable customs duties or import taxes on merchandise such as prints.
6. Accurate Information
You are responsible for providing accurate shipping addresses for yourself and any gift recipients, and for updating them before your next mail date. We are not responsible for issues mailed to an address you did not update in time.
7. Intellectual Property
All photographs, writing, artwork, postcard designs, and field dispatch content are the original work of Jeremy Osgood and are protected by copyright. Your purchase grants you personal, non-commercial enjoyment of the physical items. You may not reproduce, scan, distribute, or commercially exploit any Owl’s Gossip content without written permission.
8. Affiliate Program
We operate an affiliate program through which partners may earn commissions on referred sales. Affiliates are independent parties, are required to clearly disclose their affiliate relationship in accordance with FTC guidelines, and are not authorized to make promises or representations on our behalf.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to interfere with its operation, use it for unlawful purposes, or resell our products or content commercially without permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Site and our products are provided “as is.” We work hard to mail on schedule, but we do not guarantee USPS delivery times and are not liable for postal delays outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site or our products is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site or an active subscription after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
