A photograph I took with the story mailed to your door.

Every month I send one picture from the field — a barred owlet at Radnor Lake, a heron working the shallows at first light, a fox that held still just long enough. It’s printed as a postcard, numbered, and I include the story of the encounter before it goes in the mail.

The back also carries the animal and the park it was found in, so a card that ends up on a refrigerator door or in a shoebox still says what it is five years from now.

No stock photos. No AI. Every card is a real sighting, photographed in the Southeast by one person with one camera.

What arrives

• One numbered photo postcard, printed on heavy card stock
• A note on the back of the encounter, addressed to you by name
• The species and the park, printed under the note
• Mailed the 8th of every month. Initial purchase – a postcard is sent withing 2 business days.

Order today and your first postcard goes in the mail within 2 business days. That’s your card for the month. Every mailing after that leaves on the 8th. U.S. addresses only. Postage included.

Want the whole story behind the picture? The Field Dispatch sends the same month’s animal with a letter about what it was doing and a map of the spot — and the postcard comes unused, so your kid can mail it to someone else.

FAQ

When does it ship? Your first mailing goes out within 2 business days of your order and counts as that month’s mail. After that, mail leaves on the 8th of each month.

Do I have to subscribe? No. Pay once for 2, 6, or 12 months. No renewal, and you won’t be charged again.

Should I buy both products? No — the Field Dispatch already includes that month’s postcard. Pick one.

Can I cancel the monthly plan? Any time, from the link in your receipt. No email required, no questions asked.

Are the photos real? Every one. I take them myself in the Southeastern United States. No stock imagery, no AI.

Can I send it to a different address? Yes — enter the recipient’s address at checkout. The receipt stays out of the envelope.
