Owl Gossip (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Jeremy Osgood, a sole proprietor based in Brentwood, Tennessee. Owl’s Gossip is a physical mail subscription service delivering collectible wildlife postcards and field dispatch letters through the United States Postal Service.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through owlgossip.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information You Provide to Us

Order and account information. When you purchase a subscription or product, we collect your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, and order details. Payments are processed by SureCart and its payment processors. We never see or store your full credit card number.

Gift recipient information. If you purchase a gift subscription, we collect the recipient’s name and mailing address. We use this information only to address and deliver mail and for no other purpose.

Communications. If you email us at jeremy@owlgossip.com, we keep the correspondence so we can respond and maintain a record of customer service.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect certain information automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring links. Specifically, we use:

• Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site
• Meta Pixel and Google advertising tags to measure the effectiveness of our advertising
• Affiliate tracking cookies to credit purchases referred by our affiliate partners

Children’s Privacy

Owl Gossip mailings are enjoyed by children, but the service is purchased and managed entirely by adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or make a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. When an adult provides a child’s name as a mail recipient, that name is used solely to address physical mail. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Fulfill and mail your subscriptions and orders
• Process payments and manage auto-renewals through SureCart
• Provide customer service and respond to inquiries
• Send transactional messages about your orders (order confirmations, shipping and renewal notices)
• Measure and improve our advertising and Site performance
• Track and pay affiliate referrals
• Prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations

We do not send marketing email newsletters, and we do not sell your personal information.

How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business:

• SureCart and its payment processors, for checkout, billing, and subscription management
• The United States Postal Service and related mailing services, to deliver your mail
• Hostinger and Titan, our website hosting and email providers
• Google and Meta, for analytics and advertising measurement as described above
• Affiliate program partners, who receive only referral and commission data, never your payment details

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Data Retention

We keep order and customer records as long as needed to operate the business and meet tax and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your SureCart customer account.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• You can adjust ad preferences in your Google and Facebook account settings.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. We honor these requests for all customers, including residents of U.S. states with privacy laws and residents of Canada.

Canadian Customers

We ship to Canada. Information from Canadian customers is processed and stored in the United States and handled in accordance with this policy.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including SSL encryption on the Site and PCI-compliant payment processing through SureCart. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
